BlogHarbor supports international international character sets, allowing you to publish your weblog in any language. The screenshot below is an example of an article posted to a BlogHarbor weblog using Japanese characters:
Note how it is possible to use languages such as Japanese in both the subject and the content of your article! You can also use international character sets for the titles of your Categories and Components.

I am trying to make a page where articles are in another language, thus using international charcters. Somehow I'm having problems with the search engine: it seems not to recognize the international characters in the search box, and fails to return the expected search results.. is there something I could do to resolve this issue?

The search engine does not support international characters at this time.
