Metatags, which are embedded HTML codes in a web page, provide useful information to search engines which allows them to better categorize your site. This article explains how to add Keyword and Description Meta tags to your BlogHarbor website.

First login to your Blog Control Panel at http://www.blogharbor.com/login. Click on the Settings tab at the top navigation bar. You will now be on the General Settings page.

In the Blog Attributes box on the left, you will see a box like this:

In the Search keywords text entry box, enter a group of keywords that you feel describe the content of your weblog. For our BlogHarbor Demo site, used the following: blog, weblog, BlogHarbor, RSS, XML, web hosting, web site creation, web publishing, web hosting, photo album .

In the Site description text entry box, enter a description of your weblog. For our BlogHarbor Demo site, we might enter something like The BlogHarbor Demo site showcases the features of BlogHarbor.com weblogs.

Click on the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page and your blog pages will now include Description and Keyword metatags.
