If you've just created a favorites list, you can add favorites to it using the
Add
URL
form, shown below.
Or to open the Add
URL
form, click the Favorites
tab, then click View
Favorites.
Your favorites lists are shown. Click Edit
beside the list to which you want to add the favorite. The Edit
Favorites
page opens.
Use the Add
URL
form to add the favorite:
For now, we'll concern ourselves with only the following fields:
|
This
is what appears in the Favorites List. Your readers click the title to follow
the link.
|
|
Enter
a title for the item into the Title field.
|
|
This
is the URL (often referred to as the "web address") of the item.
|
|
Enter
the URL for the item into the URL field. You may find that it's easiest
to open the site to which you want to link in a new window, copy its URL
from the browser address bar and paste it into the URL field.
|
|
This
is an optional description of the item.
|
|
Our
templates are set up so that if your readers move the cursor over an item
in a Favorites List and let it sit there, a description will appear as shown
below:
|
Once you have filled the Title and URL (and optionally, Description)
fields, click the Add URL button to add the item to the list. The item
will be added and the page will refresh and look similar to the picture below:
You can add a few more items to the list by filling out the Add URL form
a few more times. As you do this, the Current URLs list for the Favorites
List will grow. The picture below shows a Current URLs list with a few
items in it.
With the Favorites List created and filled, the next step is to add
it to your blog's layout.
