Flickr is a free online photo management and sharing service, now owned by Yahoo. The Flickr service allows you to share images as well as organize them using "tags", comments, and annotations.

Some BlogHarbor users find Flickr to be a useful supplement to their blog, and the Flickr service integrates very well with our service. This article will show you how to enable your Flickr account to post articles directly to your BlogHarbor weblog.

BlogHarbor is not a partner of or affiliated in any way with Flickr, but we have tested their service and found that it is compatible with our BlogHarbor service. We found it easy and straightforward to create a Flickr account and to enable it to post an article to BlogHarbor weblogs.

Login to your Flickr account

Login to your Flickr account and click on the Your Account link at the top of the page. On the following Account preferences page, look for the Blogging section and click on the Your blogs link, then click Set up a new blog.

There will be 3 short steps to configuring your Flickr account to post to your BlogHarbor weblog:

Step 1: What kind of weblog do you have?

In the first step, Flickr wants to know what kind of weblog you have. Choose MetaWeblogAPI Enabled Blog and click NEXT.

Step 2: Enter your login details

In this step, you'll need to provide Flickr with details about your BlogHarbor login, including your username and password. Enter the API Endpoint of http://api.blogharbor.com/xmlrpc.cgi and the Username and Password you are using for your BlogHarbor blog. Click NEXT.

Step 3: Confirm your details

Everything you should see on the confirmation page following should be correct. Click on the All DONE button and you're, well, all done.

Now you will be able to post an article to your BlogHarbor weblog when you add a new photo to Flickr.
