Creating
Photo Albums
Creating a category consists of the following steps:
Select
a "Parent" Category Where the New Photo Album Will Go
The first step is to select a location for the new Photo Album.
If you don't want to put your new Photo Album under any existing ones, select
Main Page, the Category into which all other Categories and Photo Albums
go. You can do this by either selecting it in the Category Tree:
...or by selecting Main Page from the drop-down menu above the Category
List:
If you want to put your new Photo Album under an existing Category or Photo Album,
you can select it in the Category Tree:
...or by selecting it from the drop-down menu above the Category List:
Click
the "Add Photo Album" Link
Click the Add Photo Album link (located in the Options menu, just
above the Category Tree) to add a new Photo Album under the currently selected
Category or Photo Album.
This will take you to the Add Photo Album page.
Enter
a name for the Photo Album and select options
Here's the Add Photo Album page, shown just after clicking the Add Photo
Album link while Main Page was the selected Category:
You need to provide some information about the Photo Album you're going to create:

This
is the name of the Photo Album. It can contain letters, numbers, spaces
and punctuation.

permissions from parent

Check
this checkbox if you want the new Photo Album to have the same permissions
as the Category or Photo Album that contains it.

Check
this checkbox if you want the new Photo Album to be a Restricted Photo Album.
|
|
A
Restricted Photo Album is one that cannot be read by anyone who hasn't been
given permission to do so. They are covered in more detail in the Restricted
Categories and Photo Albums section.

This
list lets you populate your new Photo Album with photos from other Photo
Albums. Selected photos in this list will be included in the newly-created
Photo Album.

Selecting
Multiple Photos from the "Import Used Photos" List

If
you are using Windows or Linux: To select multiple photos,
hold down the ctrl key as you click on photos in the
list.

If
you are using Mac OS: To select multiple photos, hold down
the command key as you click on photos in the list.
|

Click
the "Create Album" Button
Once you've entered a name for the Photo Album and selected your options, click
the Create Album button to create the Photo Album.
The Photo Album will be created and you will be taken to its View Content
page, which will display a "Photo Album created" message:
You new Photo Album is ready for use. Since you are in its View Content
page, you can start adding photos immediately.
Deleting
Photo Albums
Deleting
a Category consists of the following steps:
Select
the Photo Album You Wish to Delete
You can do this by either selecting it in the Category Tree:
...or by selecting it from the drop-down menu above the Category List:
Go
to the Photo Album's "Category Settings" Page
If you're not already on the Photo Album's Category Settings page, go there
by clicking on the Category Settings link in the Navigation Bar.
Click
the "Delete" Button
Click the Delete button, located near the bottom of the page:
You will be asked if you are sure that you want to delete the Photo Album. Click
OK if you are sure or Cancel to cancel the deletion.
If the Category contains any articles that are not also in any other Categories,
a Please Confirm page will be displayed. It will say how many articles
are in the Category you are about to delete and ask you if you want to proceed.
To proceed and delete the Category, click the Delete button.
You will be taken to the Main Page's Category Settings page and
shown a "Category removed" message:
The Photo Album you deleted will no longer appear in the Category Tree.
