In This Guide
Each Photo Album has a corresponding
Category Settings page that can
be used to edit or delete the Photo Album. Editing a Photo Album's properties
is covered in this section; deleting a Category is covered in detail in the
Creating and Deleting Photo Albums section.
Getting to a Photo Album's "Category Settings"
Page
To get to the
Category Settings page for a Photo Album, select the Photo
Album and then click on the
Category Settings link in the Navigation
Bar.
This will take you to the Photo Album's
Category Settings page.
Moving the Photo Album
If you would like to move the Photo Album, use the
Make this a subcategory
of controls:
To move the current Photo Album, select a new parent Category or Photo Album from
the menu and click
Move.
Changing the Order of a Photo Album's Subcategories
For Photo Albums that contain subcategories and Photo Albums, the
Photo Album
Management area will display the
Subcategory order controls. These
controls allow you to set the order in subcategories and Photo Albums appear when
listed.
To change the order in which a Category or Photo Album appears:

Select the Category or Photo Album in the Subcategory order
list.

Click the
and
buttons to move the Category or Photo Album.
|

Once you are satisfied with the order, click the Reorder button.
The order will be saved.
|
Renaming the Photo Album
Photo Albums actually have two "names":

This is the "name" that you give to the Photo Album and by which most
people will refer to it. You can change this.
|

To change the Public Label for the Photo Album, enter a new name in the
Public Label field and click the Save Changes button.
|
| |
This is derived from the title you give it. It cannot be changed as it
is part of the URL for the Photo Album.
|
Permissions
There are two checkboxes related to permissions:

Inherit permissions from parent
|
| |
Check this checkbox if you want the Photo Album to have the same permissions
as the Category or Photo Album that contains it.
|

Check this checkbox if you want the Photo Album to be a Restricted Photo
Album.
|
Layout Type
The
Layout type menu determines the layout of the Photo Album.
There are three options:

In the Grid layout, each page of the Photo Album is made up
of a specified number of rows and columns of thumbnails. If a Photo has
a title, it appears below its thumbnail.

The reader clicks on a thumbnail to see the corresponding full-size photo
on its own page.
|

Choosing Grid from the Layout type menu causes these
Album display options controls to appear:

Specifies a sort order for the thumbnails. The options are:

Date published in chronological order
|
| |

Date published in reverse chronological order

Use this to specify how many columns of thumbnails there should be on
a Photo Album page. You can have from 1 to 10 columns per page.

Use this to specify how many rows of thumbnails there should be on a
Photo Album page. You can have from 1 to 20 columns per page.

In the Group by Day layout, Photo Albums are laid out in a manner
similar to articles in the Main Page or Category pages:

Choosing Group by Day from the Layout type menu causes
these Album display options controls to appear:

The Album display options controls are:
|

Specifies that the layout of thumbnails should follow the same layout
rules for articles.
|

Use this to specify that you want no more than a specific number of thumbnails
displayed on the Main Page (or Category Page).l You can specify from 1 to
100 articles.
|

Use this to specify that you want no more than a specific number of days'
thumbnails displayed on the Main Page (or Category Page).l You can specify
from 1 to 30 days.
|

In the Mini-Thumb - JS layout, miniature thumbnails of the photos
are laid out in a row. Clicking on one of these miniatures causes it to
become the current photo, which is automatically displayed at full size
alongside the row of thumbnails.

This layout style uses JavaScript; the reader must have it enabled in
order for it to work.

The Album display options controls are:

Specifies a sort order for the thumbnails. The options are:

Use this to specify where the row of thumbnails should be in relation
to the large picture. The options are:

can choose from:

Display Recently Updated Albums
Check this box to show thumbnails from Photo Albums to which you have most recently
posted Photos in the Photo Album page.
Checking this checkbox causes the
Updated Album Display Options controls
to appear:
The
Updated Album Display Options controls specify the layout of the
thumbnails:

Use this menu to specify whether you want the thumbnails to appear at
the top or bottom of the Category page.

Use this menu to specify the n most recent Albums' thumbnails you wish
to display. You can display 1 to 5 of the most recently-updated Albums.

Use this to specify how many columns of thumbnails you want. You can
specify 1 to 10 columns.
|

Use this to specify how many rows of thumbnails you want. You can specify
1 to 20 rows.
