What is a Trusted Poster?
A Trusted Poster is a user who has permission to post articles to all categories of your blog. By adding a user as a Trusted Poster, you do not have to explicitly add permissions for them to post to categories that you might create in the future. It's a convenient way of allowing an author permission to post to all categories of your blog, even ones you have yet to create.

Do not enable a user as a Trusted Poster if you want that user only to have access to post to some areas of your blog, and not other areas. For that you will need give the user custom permissions on a per category basis.
